Ballycarry (town of the weir) is a short detour (1.5km) from the Causeway Coastal Route, the road up to the village is opposite the turn off for the Brown's Bay Scenic Route on Islandmageeopposite the turn off to the Brown's Bay Scenic Drive on Islandmagee. If you visit Islandmagee then I would recommend a visit to the old church ruin of Templecorran, not only for its antiquity but also the fabulous views and connecting stories between the two locations.
